Interhigh Monthly 4

Posted in InterHigh by David Park on February 5, 2010

I’ve been epic fail on PPing pictures this week. Too many things going on at the same time! Anyhow, Interhigh Monthly #4 pictures are up. It felt great to serve again as a mentor after (what felt like) a long hiatus from InterHigh. I’m excited for how InterHigh will continue to morph to fit the youth’s needs!

New Day Benefit Concert ft. Tim Be Told

Posted in Events by David Park on February 1, 2010

This past Thursday, I shot the New Day Benefit concert featuring Tim Be Told at the request of Wenting. It was my first nonGP related event since the Suitcase Clinic Benefit Concert last April. It was inspiring to shoot something different for once, especially because it was for a great cause. I was really shocked by some of the stats (400,000 sex slaves in the US) that I heard from the New Day spokesperson and the OPD officer. Also, Tim Be Told’s performance was pretty awesome, so that was definitely a treat for me. The full album of pictures is here.

[P365] Day 27 – RSF Night

Posted in Kairos/GFC, P365 by David Park on January 31, 2010

Double picture post again, just in case I can’t post tomorrow.

This is Robert cheering for class of ‘11.

Past Friday was A2F/Kairos RSF Sports Night. I didn’t participate because I was feeling pretty sick, so I snapped some pictures and headed home early. My roommates brought back the good news that the juniors won (again). :]

Starch

Posted in Random by David Park on January 30, 2010

There was a period in my life when I was obsessed with starching my jeans (I liked the feel of the fabric, and it let me wear them longer without washing hahaha). Anyway, using a lot of starch would expedite those “wallet marks” that you get around your pockets after repeated washing. Until sophomore year, my jeans would have three imprints… one for my wallet, one for my phone, and one for my point&shoot camera (see picture). But I randomly noticed today that now I only have one imprint for my cell phone on my jeans… and it looks really awkward hahahaha. Hrm. A really random side effect of doing more serious photography.

[P365] Day 26 – More TBT

Posted in Events, P365 by David Park on January 30, 2010

For my P365, I am posting another picture from the Tim Be Told concert. This week+weekend is a busy one for pictures (RSF night was tonight, IH and Abe and Michelle’s wedding tomorrow!). Not to mention everything else is in full swing with Kairos activities and school and everything else that’s going around. It seems I won’t be getting around to finishing PP in a while.

[P365] Day 24, 25 – TBT Teaser

Posted in Events, P365 by David Park on January 29, 2010

I’m going to cheat a bit here and use two pictures and do two days worth of P365. This will also serve as my teaser post for the New Day for Children Benefit Concert (ft. Tim Be Told) that I shot last night. I will definitely have another post on that once I can get the pictures edited. :]

Picture taken at Mount Hermon. It’s one of those shots that everyone takes, but I still feel the need to take it too :]

[P365] Day 22 – Light Rays

Canon 7D
Aperture: f/4.5
Shutter Speed: 1/3200s

I am safely back from Winter Retreat. It was a blessed and challenging time. The picture is from Saturday afternoon, when a heavy fog gave means for light rays to shine forth. It was a beautiful sight.

[P365] Day 21 – Sad Bear

A student’s drawing on one of the walls at the place I tutor. Though it’s bad that they drew on the wall, I can’t help but sympathize with they who are stuck at that place all day, every day. Anyhow, I will be taking a couple days hiatus from P365 because I will be at Mt. Harmon for Winter Retreat!
